Year 10 Career Development Days are coming next term!

I am looking forward to running this event with our Year 10 Cohort in Term 3 week 1. Students will take part in a full 2 days of career activities right here on campus.   Activities are designed to identify each student’s individual career personality types, skills and values and explore how these may relate to their future careers.  Students will use various resources to explore potential careers and learn what senior subjects are recommended for these.

There will be a range of engaging guest speakers and industry workshops to assist them to explore what they might like to do post-school.  Sessions include:

  • UAC - HSC, ATAR and Senior Subject Selection
  • Southern Cross University - Allied Health (Nursing, OT, Speech Pathology), Engineering
  • Australian College of Physical Education - Careers in Sport
  • Teaching - Secondary / Primary
  • Languages for Careers
  • HIA Construction Trade Careers
  • Apprenticeships / Traineeships / School Based Traineeships - what are these and how do I get one?
  • Macquarie University - Careers in Medicine and Physiotherapy
  • VET Cert III in Business
  • Coffs Harbour Ex-Service Club
  • Senior Vocational Education and Training (VET) options - external TAFE courses

Year 12 Career Counselling Appointments

Many Year 12’s have taken the opportunity to make a time with me  for a career chat and some have started their university and early entry applications.

Some students even have offers for university courses for next year!

If your Year 12 child has not seen me as yet, I ask that you encourage them to make an appointment via the Bookings Calender here
