Scholarships

Bishop Druitt College offers three types of scholarships:
  1. General academic scholarships
  2. Scholarships with a special focus
  3. The Noel Jackson Memorial Bursary

Applications for academic scholarships, scholarships with a special focus and the Noel Jackson Memorial Bursary commencing in 2021 have now closed.

Scholarships are available to new and existing students. Preference is given to those applicants who would greatly benefit from a BDC education but who, without financial assistance, would be unable to attend.

Scholarships are awarded at a rate of full (100%) or partial (25% - 50%) tuition fee depending on the pool of applicants and the scholarships available. The number of scholarships presented each year is at the discretion of the Principal. Enrolment fees, enrolment deposit, subject levies, elective excursions, subject-related costs and uniform purchases are the responsibility of the family.

Scholarships are generally awarded for a three-year period, provided all conditions upon which the scholarship was awarded are met. This includes general conditions applying to all scholarships and specific conditions applying to individual scholarships.

General Conditions for Scholarships

General conditions applying to all scholarships are subject to an annual review and include the following:

  1. Be supportive of the values and ethos of the college
  2. Contribute positively to the co-curricular life of the college
  3. Abide by the rules, regulations and expectations in place during their time at the college

Further information about how to apply and specific conditions relating to each scholarship are listed below.
